Mark Akers
Mark joined the APS family in 2025 to Establish and run Cycle Services, bringing with him over 25 years of Industry experience.
Having previously worked as head Mechanic, bike fitter and Store Manager at Beeline Bicycles in Oxford, he has built up a trusted reputation and a loyal customer base.
He has a great depth of knowledge and experience across an array of different Brands and specialist areas within the performance Bicycle world. At Cycle Services he is both head Mechanic and Shop/Sales Manager, and can help with anything from Technical support and Workshop jobs, to sales and product advice.
Mark not only has great knowledge of Bicycle retail, but is also an experienced race mechanic, having worked with multiple National, World and Olympic Champions in the UK, in Europe, and across the World.
He is an experienced Cyclocross race mechanic and has also enjoyed a successful period as a professional Track Mechanic, working for HUUB-Wattbike during their World Cup and National Championship winning 2018/19 season, along with over 20 years of Road Race and Time Trial experience.
He can help with any of your race related demands, be it pre-race bike preparation or race/event mechanical support.
